PAAX
Born between continents and shaped by movement, PAAX—the project of Argentine duo Nicolás and Germán—has become one of the most distinctive voices in today’s global organic and melodic scene. Having spent many years in Mexico and now based between Spain and Argentina, the duo channel a rich cross-cultural energy into a sound that feels both deeply rooted and constantly evolving.
Origins & Identity
The name PAAX, meaning “music” in Mayan, reflects the spirit at the heart of the project. Their artistic vision was born along the Riviera Maya, with Tulum serving as the inspirational center where their musical identity fully came to life. That connection to nature, ritual, rhythm, and atmosphere still runs through everything they create.
Sound & Artistic Language
Rooted in downtempo and shaped by a wide palette of influences, PAAX have developed a signature sound that blends percussive house, indie dance, and deeply groove-driven rhythms. Their music carries a sense of warmth, movement, and positivity—balancing hypnotic energy with emotional depth, and creating sets that feel both powerful and uplifting.
Global Performances
This distinctive identity has taken PAAX to dancefloors around the world, leading to constant international touring and appearances at prestigious clubs and festivals across different scales and settings. Their versatility is reflected in performances at major events such as UNTOLD Festival, as well as residencies at Scorpios Mykonos and Scorpios Bodrum, while also maintaining a strong presence in more underground spaces such as Sisyphos and Kater Blau in Berlin.
Shared Stages
Over the years, PAAX have shared the stage with artists including John Digweed, Hernán Cattáneo, Danny Tenaglia, Bedouin, Monolink, Mita Gami, and Damian Lazarus, further establishing their place within the international electronic music landscape.
Continuing Journey
With a sound guided by rhythm, atmosphere, and a contagious positive energy, PAAX continue to shape a musical world that feels organic, vibrant, and unmistakably their own—bridging cultures, emotions, and dancefloors through a language that speaks directly to the body and the spirit.
